Korean BBQ Beef

Meat was mushy even with searing per the instructions. Sauce was overwhelmingly sweet and not a Korean BBQ marinade at all - why put lemongrass in it (not a traditional KP bbq ingredient and threw the taste off). Had high hopes but left confused.

This product is a huge disappointment! What kind of beef is this?? Grisly, veins, muscle??? I ended up throwing half the meat away. I had a bad batch the first time I bought this product yet decided to give it another try. Never again!

As a Korean, I find it frustrating that this product is marketed as “Korean BBQ style” when it doesn’t accurately reflect the flavors of Korean cuisine.

The steak is chewy and don't get me started on the "Korean bbq" taste. Literally tastes like normal BBQ sauce. I had to doctor it with my own Asian seasonings and I still couldn't mask the crappy flavor. Glad I got it on sale or I would be more annoyed. Talk to a real Korean about how to flavor your food and try again.

We had high hopes for a gluten free and healthy quick meal. Thankfully we got it on sale at Costco, because that is still overpriced for this meal! Most of the pieces had to be spit out because they were tough with the wrong texture! We will never buy this again. Such a big bummer!

I had been looking forward to this. Definitely not steak tips as advertised, they were really small bits of beef rather than tips. Followed the directions - the pieces were chewy, had to spit out a couple of pieces.
Bought it at Costco on sale. I'm so glad I didn't pay full price for this.

This was one of the worst premade products I have ever had. It’s so bad, that this is the first review about any food item that I’ve ever written.

1/4th of the package weight is the sauce. So the 2 lb package for $18 (hawaii price) is actually more like $11 a lbs instead of $9 a lb.

That would be fine if the meat wasn’t absolute gristle. Their “sous vide” method gives it look like dogfood and a texture something like beef jerky that was boiled, dried again, and steamed. It’s not even seasoned.

Sous vide is for even cooking of usually larger things… not thin scraps of meat. This “sous vide” is not a culinary offering as much as it is a time and cost saving measure.

Why would they cook and season it properly and then Vacuum seal it, when you just can boil the unseasoned meat and pack the sauce on the side

For $11 per lb, go buy strip streak and cut it yourself.

This is a company taking scraps of an already cheap cut and ripping off its customers. Absolute garbage and they should be embarrassed.

I don’t even want anything from them… I just feel like people need to know how much this company doesn’t care about you.

Recently had the Hawaiian chicken and it was super good so decided to try this flavor. Bought both packages at Costco so makes meal prep all week easy since it’s bigger packages. This Korean BBQ Beef missed the mark. Great flavor! Usually that’s the issue. Not with this. The steak is dense (hard to even separate the block, had to hand tear as plastic silverware kept bending), stringy, grisly, and not at all tender. This would be really good with a different cut of meat that is more tender as the flavor is really good!
